上海市毛麻纺织科学技术研究所始建于1956年，是国内一家历史悠久的纺织专业研究机构。研究所相继承担了国家级科技攻关项目及重大研究课题；所测试中心是国家认监委授权认可、计量认证的国家检验中心、中国合格评定国家认可委员会认可的检测实验室、同时也是国际羊毛局指定试验中心、全国纺织品标准化技术委员会毛纺织分技术委员会秘书处。测试中心技术力量雄厚、专业设置齐全，拥有各类先进的测试仪器150台（套），其中进口仪器30台（套），可承担进出口纺织服装各项物理、化学性能检测，纺织品安全性能指标检测及纺织品标准制、修订工作。
    研究所荣获“高新技术企业”, “上海市创新型企业”称号。

Shanghai Wool & Jute Textile Research Institute was founded in 1956, which has a long professional domestic textile history. Institute has undertaken the state-level scientific and technological projects and major research topics. Our institution has a test center, a test laboratory authorized by CNCA, a test laboratory recognized by CNAS, a test center authorized by TWC, National Textile Product Standardization Committee Woolen branch Secretariat . The test center has a strong technical force and 150 pieces (sets) of professional and advanced devices, including 30 pieces (sets) of Imported equipments. The center has capability of testing various physical and chemical properties on import & export textile and apparel, testing safety performance of textile and formulating and revising textile standards.
